Manchester Tech Festival returns for a Third Year

Manchester Tech Festival is proud to announce it will be returning between the 28th October and the 8th November. Building on the success of last year, the festival will take place across two weeks hosting tech conferences, workshops and, for the first time, a calendar of fringe events.

Amy Newton, Festival Director commented;

“When Manchester Tech Festival was born I had no idea what it would become. I knew I wanted to bridge the digital divide, support the Manchester community, and bring a bit of tech fun while doing it, but that was it really. To be here now in our third year with our biggest lineup yet is just such a surreal feeling. We’ve added an extra week of track days, we’re seeing new and world-renowned speakers take to our stage, and we have an amazing collective of new and returning sponsors making it all possible. I am so proud of what we’ve achieved, and I can’t wait to kick off MTF2024!”

Held at the historical Victoria Baths, the highlight of the festival is the core festival, a multi-stage conference, complete with over 50 speakers and a tech exhibition featuring companies such as MoneySupermarket, 6Point6 Part of Accenture, zally, Roke and Zuhlke.

Surrounding MTF is a carefully curated calendar of tech events that hone in on specialist subjects such as Cyber Security and AI. Also returning to make up this year’s festival will be the much anticipated Women in Tech [Unfiltered] conference for women and allies alike. We will also see the return of the annual Leadership Day, specifically designed to serve C-suite, Heads of, and seniors in tech.

True to MTF’s goal of bringing the community together, each day will be rounded off with one of MTF’s infamous evening socials, hosted in venues including Abel Heywood and Hotel Voco.

Headline Sponsors of the festival include design and innovation agency Code, who are returning to sponsor the festival for a third year.

“Code is very excited to be a headline sponsor for the MTF conference 2024. It is an incredible opportunity to unite those in tech, for an inclusive, educational and engaging conference. We’re excited to be a part of not just the conference, but the community that MTF has created. It is a place for where everyone from early career professionals to seasoned leadership can find a place to learn, connect and grow. We know Amy and her team have been working incredibly hard on pulling together a brilliant line up for 2024’s conference which is promising to be their best yet”- James Carr, Marketing Manager at Code

Headline sponsors also include app developers zally;

“zally are proud headline sponsors of Manchester Tech Festival (MTF). Both MTF and zally share a strong commitment to promoting Manchester’s tech scene and growing the community. Through this partnership, we aim to inspire and encourage the next generation of pioneering tech enthusiasts, contributing to a sustainable future for Manchester’s technology sector. We believe that this collaboration will continue to foster an innovative community that reflects the spirit of Manchester.

Being part of such a technical and passionate community is something we deeply value. The talks and companies involved are highly innovative, and the environment is both inspiring and collaborative. This year, we’re excited for our Principal Software Engineer and Principal Data Scientist to speak on the main stage, sharing insights about our cutting-edge Large Behavioural Model (LBM) that we have developed for our app. We cannot wait for everyone to hear all about it.

MTF is at the heart of Manchester’s tech scene, and if you want to be a part of a community that is driving innovation and shaping the ecosystem’s future, attending MTF is a must.”- Sian Gwyther, zally Marketing Manager

Aimed at everyone from tech returners and bootcampers to senior leaders, CEO’s and everyone in between, the festival promises to educate, inspire and connect the 3000 attendees expected to attend.

Tickets for the event range from £10 to £36 depending on the day, with some fringe events and workshops free to attend. For those unable to afford the ticket price, community tickets are available to ensure all of the tech community can access the festival.
