Whirlpool Certified Top Employer Europe 2023 for the Sixth Time Running

With a score of over 90% Whirlpool EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has been recognized as Top Employer Europe 2023 in Italy, France, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom for the sixth consecutive year.

An Inclusive and multicultural work environment, multiple career paths, employees well-being, a strong commitment to sustainability and talent acquisition best practices are some of the aspects that have allowed the company to be certified with this important recognition from the Top Employer Institute.

A proof of the success of the Human Resources, guided by values of Integrity, Respect, Inclusion and Diversity, which summarizes the set of behaviors and actions that guide and inspire people within the organization to work best and achieve excellent results for people and business.

“We are proud that an influential institute as Top Employer has recognized once again our commitment in this path both in Italy and in Europe. We believe it is important and fundamental to play an active role in building a sustainable world and working environment by putting the well-being of people among the priorities” explains Fabio Colombo, Whirlpool EMEA Vice President of Human Resources.

That’s why the company promotes several initiatives, including the Be*Well program – aimed at improving the well-being and health of people through concrete actions and services dedicated to employees and communities – and several Employee Resource Groups – such as Whirlpool’s Women’s Network and Young Professional Network – which help drive cultural change to create a more inclusive and diverse work environment.

Another essential pillar in Whirlpool’s culture is sustainability. The company has been working for many years with a holistic and innovative approach to making production as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible, designing appliances that are sustainable for their entire life cycle, thus minimizing environmental impacts and investing in services where the circular economy is a central aspect of competitiveness.

At Whirlpool, sustainability is not only about the environment, but also about social commitment. The company, in fact, sustains the communities in which it operates through product donations and voluntary initiatives, especially in the social housing sector. Among the many, we remember several collaborations with Habitat for Humanity and the donations of appliances to support local communities in various countries of Europe such as Italy, Poland, Ukraine.

The Top Employers Institute program is the global authority for the certification of excellence in employee conditions, and it has been giving for 25 years the ability to leverage Employer Branding to certified organizations, comparing their practices with those of other top performers and aligning their policies globally. TPE certifies more than 1600 organizations across five continents every year, impacting the lives of more than 6,900,000 employees worldwide.
