Zellis Group outlines commitment to ESG and sustainability in first ‘Impact Report’

Zellis Group – the UK and Ireland’s leading provider of pay, reward, analytics, and people experiences, has published an inaugural, group-wide Impact Report affirming its approach to ESG and sustainability, the results of its programmes, and its goals for the future.

Zellis Group is made up of three businesses: ZellisMoorepay, and Benefex, and employs more than 2,400 people across the UK, Ireland, India, and the Philippines. Zellis Group, which acts as a partner to over 5000 customers, and their employees, recognises it is uniquely placed to make a positive difference to people’s experiences inside and outside of work.

The Impact Report is an expansion of The Zellis Group ESG framework, launched in 2022, which is centred around three key pillars to create maximum positive impact. Each of these pillars is tied to a five-year ambition, to be achieved by 2027. These include:

  • Supporting over five million people with their financial and emotional wellbeing through digital payslips, discounts and cashback, and mental health resources
  • Achieving a truly diverse leadership with 50% women and 20% diverse characteristics whilst empowering Zellis Group customers to be representative and equitable through data
  • Achieving operational net zero carbon, minimising emissions to fight climate change

John Petter, Chief Executive Officer, Zellis, said: “Since setting out our ESG framework and ambitions in 2022, some of my proudest and most fulfilling achievements in business have been overseeing the progress made against our plans, and the impact they have had on our colleagues, customers, and local communities.

“We have made significant headway against our five-year ambitions over the past two years, and remain committed to accelerating our ESG initiatives and embedding sustainability at the core of our business. All this, while working with our shareholders, colleagues, and customers, to listen and learn from their experiences and build meaningful, long-term impact,” added Petter.

Zellis Group’s commitment to ESG and sustainability is also evidenced by several awards and certifications. Zellis Group is an accredited Real Living Wage employer, holds EcoVadis Silver Medal Status for sustainability, and is a proud signatory member of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, The Pregnancy Loss Pledge, and the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse. The Group has also been recognised as a Top 10 Employer for Women in Tech, and recently announced its status as a registered Disability Confident Committed employer.

In 2022, Zellis achieved an A- score from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) – a platform used by companies to disclose their environmental management and carbon emissions, in recognition of its best-practice implementation.
