High-potential technology companies across Yorkshire are being invited to apply for Top Tech Yorkshire 2026, a comprehensive programme designed to accelerate growth and innovation in the region’s rapidly expanding tech sector.

Developed by national law firm Mills & Reeve, Top Tech Yorkshire connects promising tech businesses with a curated network of expert mentors, including investors, industry peers, accelerators, and specialist service providers.

The programme has been enhanced for 2026, delivering an intensive six-month programme of profile-raising activities, strategic networking opportunities, and tailored mentorship that come together to create a collaborative ecosystem that drives both individual business success and broader regional growth.

Programme launch highlights regional tech expertise

The programme launched at a panel event during Leeds Digital Festival, where Yorkshire tech leaders discussed the critical support needs for businesses at different growth stages. The expert panel featured Sarah Tulip, award-winning tech entrepreneur and Digital City Ambassador for Leeds; Jason Crispin, CEO and founder of AUDITSU; and Hawa Kandeh, founder and CEO of Leeds edtech firm Globally Linked.

Globally Linked successfully expanded its AiTechTouch product, which combines AI-powered digital learning with real-world STEM exploration, into international markets following Hawa’s participation in Top Tech Yorkshire last year.

Hawa said: “Building a scalable edtech company presents complex challenges, from legal structures and IP protection to investor readiness. Top Tech Yorkshire provided the expertise and confidence to navigate these challenges early on. With solid foundations in place, we’re progressing from concept to pilots across the UK and Spain, ready to deliver innovative AI-powered learning worldwide.”

Applications open for 2026 programme

Tech business leaders can apply now by completing a short entry form, which will be reviewed by the programme’s expert mentor panel. The mentors will identify the applicants demonstrating the most potential to elevate Yorkshire’s tech profile to become members of the programme, which will commence in early 2026.

Top Tech Yorkshire is completely free and welcomes applications from tech businesses of all sizes and stages of maturity. The only criteria is that they are Yorkshire-based and committed to growth, innovation, and regional collaboration. As programme spaces are limited, organisers are encouraging businesses to provide as much detail as possible to maximise selection prospects.

Alex Newman, intellectual property partner at Mills & Reeve, said: “Yorkshire’s tech sector is outpacing national growth averages, supported by a community rich in innovation and ambition. Top Tech Yorkshire provides the platform, opportunities and encouragement for members to forge essential connections and reach key stakeholders.

“Previous participants have achieved remarkable growth, prompting us to evolve the programme to support even more businesses in realising their full potential. We’re looking forward to receiving many exceptional applications and expect that selecting final programme members will be highly competitive.”

The deadline for entries is Friday 7 November 2025. Yorkshire tech businesses interested in accelerating their development and growth through the programme can submit applications now: https://www.toptechyorkshire.com/join.
