CityFibre has nearly doubled its customer connection rate quarter on quarter, securing a record 108,000 new connections in Q3 2025 compared to 58,000 in Q2.

The milestone takes CityFibre’s total connected customer base to around 730,000, underlining its rapid growth trajectory as ISP partners scale up activity across its full fibre network. July’s launch of Sky on the platform has been a major catalyst, giving CityFibre’s wholesale offering exposure to nearly half of the UK broadband market.

The network operator has also completed its 10Gb XGS-PON upgrade ahead of plan and introduced a 5.5Gb wholesale service, positioning itself as a technology leader in the UK fibre market.

Financial highlights for the quarter show revenue of £43m (Q3 2024: £34m) and adjusted EBITDA of £7.6m (Q3 2024: £1.4m), with both metrics showing sharp year-on-year increases. The business is now operating at an annualised revenue run rate of £172m and an EBITDA run rate of £30m.

Simon Holden, CEO of CityFibre, said the results demonstrated the scalability of its model:

“We are proving the strength of CityFibre’s wholesale business model as we reach an inflection point, with our recent financing providing the firepower to significantly expand our reach through acquisitions and bring world-class digital infrastructure to people, businesses and communities across the UK.”

CityFibre’s growth follows the conclusion of its £2.3bn financing package, including £500m in new equity and a £960m debt expansion, positioning the company to push forward with network rollouts and market consolidation at scale.
