The appointment follows recent team expansion and new client partnerships including Reebok, setting the agency up for its next phase of strategic growth

E-commerce agency Quickfire Digital has announced a series of new appointments and people moves, notably Paul Woolley as its new Chair, marking a significant step in the agency’s ongoing growth plans.

Paul began working with the agency pre-Covid and in 2019 was appointed as a non-exec director, bringing more than 30 years of experience in marketing communications. This includes 25 years in senior leadership at global marketing group Omnicom, where he built and led high-performing businesses across Europe and Asia, developing deep expertise in scaling operations, driving commercial performance and navigating complex international markets.

Alongside the new Chair, Jordan Philip has also been appointed as Head of Growth, taking over from Dan Walton, who has now moved into the Head of Sales position.

Jordan joined the Shopify ecosystem around four years ago working alongside Dan Walton as a Business Development Manager.  Since then, he’s worked at We Make Websites and Underwaterpistol, progressing from Sales Consultant to Commercial Director, where he was responsible for the full commercial function – marketing, sales, partnerships and interfacing with client services to support revenue and profit growth.

Paul and Jordan’s appointments come at a time of continued momentum for Quickfire Digital. Over the past 12 months, the agency has grown its team by 40%, adding 12 new members including a Head of Growth, Head of Sales and Project Manager to support an expanding portfolio of clients and services. Recent highlights include working with Reebok, Tonic Health and Lumie to integrate their businesses into the Shopify ecosystem and winning the eCommerce agency of the year (large) at the UK agency awards hosted by Don’t Panic Events.

The agency’s work increasingly reflects its strategic evolution, shifting from an executional partner to a trusted advisor on e-commerce growth, as highlighted by recent projects.

Nathan Lomax, Co-founder and Director at Quickfire Digital, comments: “As Quickfire matures, we’ve become increasingly focused on offering our clients not just delivery, but strategic thinking that drives long-term success. Paul’s depth of experience, both operationally and strategically, brings invaluable perspective as we navigate the opportunities and challenges that come with this growth. His insight has already shaped the way we approach business and myself and my co-founders were delighted when he accepted our invitation to Chair Quickfire Digital as we embrace the next step in our journey. Equally, Jordan’s proven track record in driving commercial growth for leading Shopify agencies, coupled with his expertise in new business acquisition and strategy for high-profile DTC brands strengthens our ability to deliver both scale and success for our clients.”

While Jordan will be specialising in new business acquisition and commercial strategy, Paul’s immediate focus will be to ensure Quickfire is set up to embrace growth in a sustainable way.

Paul Woolley says: “What first attracted me to Quickfire was the diversity of thought and energy among the three co-founders, Martin Harper, Fred Cohen and Nathan Lomax. Together, that blend of difference – paired with a collective drive for constant improvement – has shaped an agency that’s both ambitious and grounded. Having been involved with the business for a number of years, I’ve seen first-hand how the agency has matured into a strategic partner for clients and it’s infectious. I wouldn’t have stepped into this role if I didn’t believe in the future of this business and its people.”

Today, Paul’s portfolio of board positions span global networks and founder-led businesses, including Chair roles at CPM Switzerland, Precision Proco and St James House, where he has played an active role in shaping high performing executive teams, delivering enterprise value and guiding businesses through acquisitions and ownership transitions. Alongside these positions, Paul also advises organisations on sustainable growth, strategy execution and operational readiness – experience that will now help guide Quickfire Digital through its next phase of growth.

Jordan’s broad experience in how businesses grow and what makes them successful will also  bring immense value to the firm.

Jordan Philip adds: “It’s great to join Nathan, Dan and the rest of the fantastic team at Quickfire Digital. I believe they’re perfectly positioned to own the mid-market and help founder-led, fast-growing brands as they grow from £10M to £50M and beyond. This is an exciting space in the market, which I personally love, and Quickfire have proven they’re capable of delivering given their recent success in becoming a Premier partner and working with standout brands like Reebok, Vieve, Beavertown, Blakely and more.”

In the months ahead, the agency’s work in advising clients on end-to-end ecommerce strategy and supporting long-term growth planning  will continue to evolve, including enhancements to its Shopify capabilities and strengthening its commitment to strategic leadership in the e-commerce space.
