Maintel, the cloud and managed services specialist, has opened a new centre of excellence to accelerate the growth of its expertise in digital workplace technology, customer experience, and secure connectivity.
The Maintel Technology Centre is based in Fareham, Hampshire, and will bring together experts in cloud, software development, and artificial intelligence (AI), to solidify Maintel as a leader in communications. The company will invest £4.5m into the centre over the next three years, creating a hub of innovation.
The centre will work towards creating more capabilities and new features for existing technologies, such as unified communications, contact centre platforms, and wide and local area networks, to name just a few.
Additionally, this centre of excellence will support the continued development of Maintel’s bespoke cloud and managed services offering, ICON, which enables businesses to be as effective and efficient as possible.
Rufus Grig, Chief Technology and Strategy Officer at Maintel, said: “We are building on an already established and successful business in multi-channel customer experience. This centre of excellence will take that to the next level, as we prepare for the era of digital-first and continue to transform our customers’ communications from the conventional to the exceptional.
“We recognise that our customers increasingly want to deploy from the cloud, and this move ensures that we can continue to innovate in this area, making deployments simpler and quicker than ever before.
“Our enlarged team at the Technology Centre will continue to accelerate the development of our existing product set and create exciting new services for our customers.”
