Ticket Fairy Launches Full Digital Marketing Platform for Live Events, Announcing $2.5m Funding from All-Star Investor Line-Up

The Ticket Fairy, a growth and sales channel partner for the live events industry, today announces the official launch of its cloud-based events platform – an easy-to-use, self-service solution, combining ticketing, marketing and event management, that increases revenue, reduces financial risk, and provides event organisers, venues and tour managers with access to unparalleled data, analytics and intelligence.

The Ticket Fairy is available from today to event organisers in the United Kingdom, EU, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and India with more countries launching in the near future. Organisers are able to sign up, create an event and publish it in less than 10 minutes.

Developed by London-born brothers Jigar and Ritesh Patel, with teams currently in London, California, Auckland and Mumbai, the Ticket Fairy platform allows organisers to better monetise and manage events within one highly-scalable self-service system, while also providing huge benefits to consumers who attend events. “Everybody Wins” is the key mantra for the company.

The invitation-only phase of the platform has sold more than 850,000 tickets to the general public, grossing $68m USD, and has been shown to generate 10-25 percent increased ticket revenue for event organisers through its patent-pending “waterfall” referral marketing and rewards system.

With unique marketing automation and analytics tools, The Ticket Fairy has been built to meet the demands of producers of large-scale festivals, concerts, Esports tournaments and conventions.

Importantly, The Ticket Fairy also includes technology that mitigates resale fraud and scalping by providing a single, closed-loop, primary and face-value-only secondary ticketing system, which has been operational since 2014.  This matches late buyers and sellers automatically, provides an escrow-like workflow to avoid direct money transfer between strangers, and cancels the original ticket once sold.

The patent-pending platform is designed to help event organisers gain valuable information on attendees that can be used to plan future events, increase event relevancy and gain insights into customer and brand engagement for sponsors and stakeholders.

To support the platform launch, The Ticket Fairy has recently closed its pre-Series A round, raising $2.5 million USD from prestigious technology and entertainment investors which, combined with previous funding, creates an all-star list of stakeholders, including:

About the Founders:

The Ticket Fairy is the brainchild of brothers Ritesh and Jigar Patel, who began collaborating as business partners at the start of the global financial crisis of 2008. The London born and raised brothers first spread their entrepreneurial wings at an early age. By age 13, Ritesh had developed proprietary software for his high school (which remained in use for more than 10 years) and at 19 ran what became an iconic event brand in Bristol during the early 2000s. Jigar, a dreamer with a keen eye for strategic opportunities, earned his first pay cheque at age 12 by reselling web hosting services in the late 90s and later moved on to Dubai at age 23 to found a real estate investment business.

At the time, Ritesh was running events and working as a cloud software engineer in Sydney, and the brothers officially joined forces to explore new commercial and investment opportunities in Dubai and Australia. The brothers’ joint businesses were dealt an irrevocable blow and would ultimately succumb to the devastating effects of the global financial crisis. It was in 2011 that they combined their expertise across event promotion, business development and technology to launch the first bootstrapped version of The Ticket Fairy in Australia and the UK, founded as a solution to aid digital marketing of events and ultimately increase revenue for promoters so that their shows could minimise financial risk.

The Patel brothers have since grown The Ticket Fairy into a multinational services and enterprise-scale technology partner for the events industry, having processed US $68m in ticket sales, secured US $3.1m in angel and venture funding from a starry list of strategic investors, and developed a highly reputed platform unlike anything seen before it in the events and ticketing space.
