Conbipel, the Italian clothing and accessories retailer, has gone live on Fluent Commerce, an omnichannel order management platform which makes it faster and easier for customers to buy in-store or online.
As part of the Italian fashion retailer’s investment in its omnichannel customer experience, the first phase of their online strategy went live in September 2019 with partner Openmind. Going live on Fluent Commerce’s flexible order management platform enables Conbipel to achieve a single view of stock and orders across all channels and provide customers with more convenient delivery options such as the ability to be in store and if a size isn’t available access it online and have it delivered to their home.
“We are thrilled with the work Openmind has delivered for us in such a short timeframe and we’ve taken their recommendation that Fluent Commerce’s order management platform is the best in class. This collaboration will enable us to deliver a truly omnichannel experience for our customers in 2020. Conbipel customers will be able to conveniently order online and pick up in store wherever and whenever they like to and enjoy an easy returns process and have orders shipped quickly to their homes,” explains Fabio Pagliuzzi, branch merchandising manager, Conbipel.
Conbipel was founded in 1958 as a family business and is owned by private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management. Today, Conbipel specialises in leather clothes and accessories, has 200 stores across Italy and 1700 working in its headquarters, warehouses and stores. In a challenging retail climate, Conbipel recognised that to boost market share and enhance customer experience they needed to develop an ecommerce approach. From next season Conbipel’s entire collection will be available in store and online.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Conbipel to help them deliver a unified commerce experience and gain greater insights and behavioural knowledge on how their customers want to shop. Fluent Commerce is a cloud native distributed order management platform that provides all the functionality needed for a retailer to offer ultimate delivery flexibility, and save time and money dealing with returns and courier shipping,” explains Rob Shaw, managing director EMEA, Fluent Commerce.
Fluent Commerce’s technology includes software for in-store tooling, inventory and location management, customer service, fulfilment optimisation and reporting. For Conbipel this means increased sales, reduced fulfilment costs and better customer retention.
The next phase of the omnichannel experience roll-out will include the launch of an app for customers.
