Cinos launches Stellaris HSCN Unified Communications Service

Cinos, a specialist provider of integrated audio-visual and communication solutions, today announces the launch of its Stellaris HSCN Unified Communications Service.

The Stellaris HSCN Unified Communications Service provides a robust and flexible unified communication platform that can be used across any health or social care setting. This enables users to schedule, host and manage multidisciplinary (MDT) and other crucial voice and video meetings – both on the platform itself and with external services such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex.

Seamless integrations
By connecting directly to the Health and Social Care Network (HSCN), Stellaris gives users a higher quality of service, additional levels of security and a migration path away from traditional telephony services, including analogue and legacy systems.

Stellaris HSCN users can place calls to both physical handsets and cloud services from Microsoft Teams and Cisco Webex Teams, as well as calls to external organisations and patients who are at home. This gives users the ability to communicate with colleagues and patients in a simple and seamless way from any location or device.

Providing this blend of services means that health and social care providers are able to enhance their telephony requirements for each setting. For instance, deploying physical handsets to hospital wards or choosing to implement a combination of physical handsets and software clients to enable remote working in contact centres.

Flexible working
Combining collaboration tools with Cinos’ heritage in critical communications means users benefit from secure and flexible ways of working. The Stellaris platform integrates a wide range of communication tools and applications, everything from voice, email, video conferencing, instant messaging and presence – all into a single platform. This means health and social care staff can communicate through desktop or mobile devices, whether they’re on site, at home or out in the community.

Fully managed
Unlike traditional legacy phone systems, the Stellaris HSCN service is easily managed and tailored to meet the needs of users across health and social care settings. This includes desk-based and mobile users, who can benefit from services such as voicemail, call pickup and hunt groups. As well as those who need integrations with paging systems or switchboard services.

Dan Worman, executive director at Cinos, says: “Cinos has vast experience in delivering always on, hybrid cloud unified communications services to a range of acute and community healthcare services. For a long time, we have argued that the critical communications services, especially within a healthcare environment, should not be consumed from public cloud services or via the Internet.

Having worked with health and social care providers across the country, we understand the challenges they face, including the need to work securely and flexibly. The Stellaris HSCN service helps providers meet those challenges, enabling a robust, easy to use and always available communications platform that adds significant value to users and patients.”
