Civica, a global leader in software for public services, has acquired the HR and payroll business of Equiniti Group plc, HR Solutions.
Based in Belfast, HR Solutions is trusted to improve the efficiency of payroll processes, reduce costs and deliver an assured payroll experience for employees. In 2019, the business processed over four billion pounds of payments and issued nearly three million payslips.
The acquisition will strengthen Civica’s existing integrated HR, payroll and time and attendance capability, as well as complement the Group’s broad suite of workforce management solutions. Expanding Civica’s presence and momentum in Northern Ireland, the acquisition will increase the scale of Civica’s activity and extend the delivery of the Group’s payroll solutions into core markets such as the health sector.
The HR and payroll business provides payroll solutions across a range of markets, including the NHS, where HR Solutions is one of three leading payroll providers. The company’s existing customers include Camden & Islington NHS Trust, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, the Met Office and Scottish Parliament.
People and payroll teams have faced exceptional demands this year due to Covid-19. Civica has responded quickly to support customers by implementing new schemes to meet changing legislation, such as furlough. As well as providing emergency payroll and BACS services to ensure critical payroll processes are maintained and employees paid on time. HR Solutions has delivered uninterrupted service to their clients during this period.
