Former Infoblox EMEA Channel Director joins Cradlepoint to expand its EMEA partner programme in 2021
Cradlepoint has announced the appointment of Darryl Brick as VP Partner Sales for EMEA this month.
With extensive reseller and distribution experience, Brick has held roles at HP Europe, Juniper Networks and Infoblox. He joins Cradlepoint at a crucial time, as it looks to expand its footprint in EMEA and help even more organisations realise the potential of 5G. The obsolescence of wireline connectivity has for a long time been evident, but the new imperatives of agility, flexibility and mobility, brought on by COVID-19, have brought this issue to the fore. As more and more organisations look to cut the cord and embrace the WWAN revolution, Cradlepoint will open this huge market opportunity to more partners throughout the region.
Brick will be responsible for driving the company’s ‘Partner Only’ strategy, focusing on a strong distribution base and skilled partners, whilst adding sales and pre-sales resources in 2021. He will lead a strategy for enhancing Cradlepoint’s existing partner landscape with improved programmes and benefits and will be recruiting new partners who will act as entry points for the growing enterprise market. This year, Cradlepoint launched its 5G Partner Specialisation programme, which will bring fresh opportunities for partners across the region. The programme aims to identify and recognise suitable partner organisations that are capable and proficient in positioning and selling Cradlepoint’s 5G solutions to their customers.
Brick comments, “5G is going to be revolutionary, especially for enterprises. Preparing customers for the adoption of 5G is a task I will relish in my new role at Cradlepoint and I’m excited to be on board.
“We are in the early stages of building out the partner community, who will seize the opportunity being presented, by both the market movement, as well as the leadership position Cradlepoint has established.”
Brick will expand his partner management team across the region with immediate effect and builds on the solid growth that Cradlepoint has experienced this year with strategic hires made across Central, Southern and Northern Europe.
Commenting on Brick’s appointment, James Bristow, SVP EMEA says, “We are delighted to have Darryl on board to help us extend our partner community throughout Europe, Middle East, Africa in 2021 and beyond. Working with our partner network, we want to continue to deliver the end-to-end network capabilities and quality of experience customers will need to confidently put 5G at the centre of their WAN strategy.”
