BlueFort Security, the UK’s leading enterprise IT cyber security specialist, has expanded the scope of Evolve, its Cyber Services package to include unlimited access to its technical and professional services teams.
The new Evolve Enhanced plan gives BlueFort clients unlimited, on-demand access to BlueFort’s award-winning cyber security consultants, while also providing deep industry expertise to ensure security tools are operating and performing at their maximum potential.
Evolve was introduced 3 years ago to bolster the resources of BlueFort’s customers’ internal IT teams, providing specialist IT technical expertise when required. With the cyber security skills gap showing no sign of slowing down, and a recent PwC report reporting that around a fifth (22%) of UK business and technology leaders are planning to downsize their security teams, IT teams are increasingly required to do more with less.
Gaps in budget, resources, expertise, and sometimes even confidence, can mean security tools quickly become out-dated, complexity builds over time and attack vectors open. Increased user mobilisation and digital transformation trends accelerated by Covid-19 have also determined that rapid access to expertise at a predictable cost model is now key for clients of all sizes.
The three levels of Evolve – Basic, Standard and Enhanced – comprise a range of entitlements such as annual system reviews, upgrade notifications, software version assurance plus inclusive credits that can be used as and when customers require them.
With the new expanded offerings that are included with the Standard and Enhanced packages, customers have unlimited access to BlueFort’s technical team to assist with the tasks such as rollouts, installations and upgrades, as well as its professional services team for more complex projects including security assessments, consultation and design and installation.
Ian Jennings, co-founder of BlueFort Security explains the thinking behind Evolve:
“We wanted to bridge the gap between traditional incident-based support schemes which offer little more than a basic ‘break- fix’ level of cover, and more comprehensive managed service offerings where the customer has limited – or no – control over its IT solution. For us, this is about making sure customers realise the maximum value of their investment by removing any limitations around support, advice and expertise.”
Garry Lewis, Head of IT at Atrium Underwriters, an existing Evolve customer, said: “We use the Evolve service to ensure that our systems are always running latest versions and are best protected at all times. Without Evolve, we would have to get in additional resource for bespoke deployments and we would certainly have to spend a lot of time in the research phase to make sure we are buying the right technology. We use BlueFort’s expertise to guide us down the right path.”
