We can say that the early days of development were between 1948 and 1979. Although different sources have varied information about where and when the very first piece of software was created. Records show that it was a computer scientist named Tom Kilburn who invented the earliest form of software back in 1948 at the University of Manchester, England.

In the 1970s Apple created its first-ever personal computer, which was called the Apple-1. It was designed and created by Steve Wozniak in 1976 and along with his friend, Steve Jobs, the Apple Computer Company was formed. The following year, the next version (Apple-2) was released. The first IBM computer was introduced in 1981 and this operating system, developed by Bill Gates, was the first version of the Microsoft software which is still used today. The 1990s saw an increase in the use of mobile software, and this is when the first Blackberry devices were introduced. From the 2000s, Apple then issued the first iPhones. iPads and tablets then followed in 2010. Although Microsoft designed their own tablet first, it wasn’t very popular and in the meantime, Apple was having more technological success.
