Gloucester-based cyber experts, Cyber Security Associates, shortlisted for national cyber security award

Gloucester-based Cyber Security Associates (CSA) has been shortlisted for the Cyber Security Company of the Year award at the national Global Business Tech Awards 2022. The awards are judged by leading international industry experts, and the winners will be announced virtually on Thursday the 5th of May 2022, at 4pm.   

The Global Business Tech Awards recognise, reward, and celebrate all things technical within the business world. Cyber Security Company of the Year is an award dedicated to recognising the world’s leading Cyber Security Company 

Built on a foundation of Government – MOD, GCHQ and ex-Military – and commercially experienced specialists, CSA was established in 2013 by co-founders Dave Woodfine, Managing Director, and James Griffiths, Technical Director. Prior to founding CSA, Dave served in the Royal Air Force for over 20 years as a senior engineering officer. This included a number of operational cyber security leadership positions, including the responsibility for the management and operation of the MOD’s Cyber Security Operations Centre. James has worked within cyber security for over 15 years, including a distinguished career as an Army Royal Signals Senior Operator, and spent the last five years of his service working as an Operator, providing cyber offensive capability to the UK government. 

In November 2020, CSA secured major investment backing from the Cloud Managed Services giant FluidOne.  

All of the 28 strong CSA team have enhanced Government security clearance and provide cyber consultancy and cyber managed services to a range of UK and global organisations, as well as high net worth individuals. Their aim is to equip companies with the knowledge, skills and technology they need to keep their businesses cyber secure and protected against ever-changing cyber threats.  

With a 24/7 Security Operations Centre in Gloucester, CSA continuously monitor and improve an organisations’ security profiles while detecting, preventing and responding to any cyber threats a business may face. Its work with clients has helped protect them and prevent damaging losses that would have transpired from cyber breaches. With the world of work shifting to an ever more virtual environment, investment in cyber security is vital for businesses.
