RoomRaccoon announces ambitious hiring targets to accelerate product innovation

RoomRaccoon, a leading all-in-one Hotel Management System (HMS), has announced ambitious growth plans to power its product innovation and customer service. The company is committed to a global hiring plan that will see the business increase its headcount by over 100% in the coming 18 months across all functions.

CEO and Co-founder of RoomRaccoon, Tymen van Dyl commented: “We are committed to delivering the best and most complete Hotel Management System for independent accommodation businesses around the world, and we’re supporting this by investing in our people, and as a result, our product capabilities and service offering.” 

RoomRaccoon’s expansion plan includes the addition of 100+ roles, which comprises more than tripling the headcount of its Product and Engineering team. Other significant hiring goals include attracting more senior talent with the addition of 10+ Director and VP roles, as well as doubling the account executive and customer service teams in 10 entered focus markets across Europe, Africa, North America and the UK. 

The accelerated growth strategy is supported by the company’s strong bootstrapped built foundation. “We are very proud to have successfully built a fast-growing and financially healthy business. Looking forward, we are exploring the opportunity to raise capital to fuel the acceleration of our next growth phase,” shared van Dyl.

With its focus on product development, the company has hired Neil Clulow as Head of Engineering. Clulow joins RoomRaccoon having built a career in software engineering and development, including time at Recharge.com where he helped navigate new coding standards and guidelines. He brings more than 9 years of experience to the role and will be responsible for the re-architecture of RoomRaccoon’s founding codebase. 

“This is a step in the right direction in our goal to continue creating a robust product that will follow new innovative standards,” shared Buckenberger.
