Peak Technologies cuts carbon emissions as it expands across Europe

Two major acquisitions and two top carbon reduction awards prove its commitment to doing more with less, helping businesses hit Net Zero targets

Peak Technologies – the market-leading provider of digital supply chain, mobile workforce and retail solutions has been recognised by two prestigious carbon reduction awards as it builds momentum in Europe with the acquisition of Ireland’s VisionID and Netherlands Dalosy.

It won the THG Eco 1-Star Company Carbon Neutral Certification award from MyCarbon for offsetting 155 tonnes of CO2 generated in the UK in 2021. It was also recognised with a bronze medal from EcoVadis, the world’s only universal sustainability ratings provider. A double seal of recognition for Peak Technologies as a green-minded organisation putting sustainability at the forefront of all of its activities.

Peak Technologies’ recent acquisition of VisionID and Dalosy has dual benefits. Firstly, it strengthens its Automatic Identification and Data Capture (“AIDC”) offering. Secondly, it expedites its delivery of sustainability initiatives and moves its clients across Europe and worldwide closer to their joint Net Zero destination.

Expansion of AIDC solutions in Europe

Headquartered in Tipperary, Ireland and founded in 2000, VisionID is a systems integrator of AIDC hardware, labels, software solutions and vendor service contracts. The company sells primarily to enterprise-level customers in the healthcare, food & beverage, and industrial end markets.

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in the Netherlands with an additional sales office in Belgium, Dalosy is a provider of AIDC hardware, labels, software, and services primarily to the industrial, transportation & logistics, and grocery end markets.

Peak Technologies already works with some of the largest retailers in the world and its UK customers include John Lewis, Boohoo, Iceland, New Look and The Card Factory.

Peak Technologies was secured by private equity firm-Source Capital LLC in April 2021. These milestone add-on acquisitions of VisionID and Dalosy will enable Peak Technologies to deliver highly technical solution offerings in the Irish, Dutch, and Belgian AIDC and managed services markets and operate inside and outside the EU with a presence in 16 countries in Europe.

Expanding sustainability initiatives across Europe

Peak Technologies is an advocate in adopting circular economy principles to build a more robust foundation for the future and is working with its charity partner, The British Heart Foundation (BHF) to help businesses meet Net Zero targets and deliver multiple benefits for society and business at each stage of the supply chain.

As it expands into Europe Peak Technologies will collaborate with its partners and orchestrate the collective efforts of its clients to roll out more circular economy initiatives. Together they will aim to break the link between raw materials consumption and growth.

“With the significant acquisitions of VisionID and Dalosy we are in a very strong position to support our growing customer and increase our foothold in Europe,” says René Schrama, Managing Director, Peak Technologies. “Most importantly, we firmly believe that by partnering closely with our customers, we can together make a good contribution towards a more sustainable world.

“In every aspect of its business Peak Technologies puts sustainability first. We move with economy, we use renewable energy and our servers are thrifty. To remind ourselves why this is important we have a wild garden sectioned off at our Chippenham head office site, to grow rare bee orchids.”
