ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), the leading digital workflow company making the world work better for everyone, today announced that together with Northeastern University London they will be training 250 new learners through the Skills Bootcamps – part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee. ServiceNow and Northeastern University London have been awarded a second contract by the Department for Education to train 250 participants in Data Management Systems with ServiceNow, providing the digital transformation knowledge and business skills needed as well as sought-after industry training.
Professor Scott Wildman, Academic Dean from Northeastern University London said, “we recognise the importance of ensuring those searching for a new role, or wishing to improve their skills, get the training they need, and more importantly get the path they need into employment. Our Skills Bootcamp is unique, in that it is delivered in partnership with ServiceNow, so participants gain invaluable industry training, and introductions to customers and partners seeking to bridge their talent gap.”
Skills Minister Andrea Jenkyns, at the Department for Education, said: “Skills Bootcamps are a fantastic way for adults to boost their skills in digital technology, giving people the opportunity to complete free training to boost their earnings and prospects, while helping businesses to recruit. The tech sector is booming, so adults who complete one of our high-quality Skills Bootcamps with innovative companies like ServiceNow can be confident they are learning the skills employers are looking for, enabling them to progress into a better paid job or embark on an exciting new path.”
Developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, Skills Bootcamps are being delivered in partnership with employers, providers, and local authorities, to help people gain skills for life, help support skills demands in their local area, and ultimately – to help people get a better job.
Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to a guaranteed interview with a local employer. Whilst completing the course, learners can continue to claim Universal Credit.
ServiceNow customers and partners that have already benefited from joining the program and recruited from the Skills Bootcamp are Agilisys, Lloyds Banking Group and Unifii.

In focusing on technology service design and management, the course provides an excellent basis for a career as a technology consultant, business or data analyst, project manager or developer.
Many participants from the Skills Bootcamps have gone on to leverage further Government funding through the Apprenticeship Levy scheme.
