Exceptional growth delivers accolades for Cirencester-based cybersecurity firm

Cirencester-based cybersecurity specialist, Core to Cloud, has been named Growth Business of the Year at the 2nd annual SoGlos Gloucestershire Business awards.

The award comes following an exciting period of growth for the cybersecurity solutions provider. First established in 2015 by Co-founders, James Cunningham and Mark Liddle, Core to Cloud has more than quadrupled its revenue in the last three years and tripled its workforce. The company is forecast to increase turnover by over 170% by the end of the year.

It now counts over a quarter of UK NHS Trusts, as well as Enterprises such as high street retailer Fat Face and GFK, amongst its diverse portfolio of clients.

Over 300 people attended the SoGlos awards ceremony, held at the Gloucestershire Business School at the University of Gloucestershire, to recognise and honour innovative start-ups through the top 100 businesses in the county.

This latest award makes it a trio of success for the firm this year, having picked up the Sparkies’ Best Cyber Company honour, and this month, Co-founder, James Cunningham, was recognised as a ‘One to Watch’ in The Times’ LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders.

Kelly Allen, CMO at Core to Cloud, said: “We’re delighted to be named as Growth Business of the Year at the SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards. Add this to the two other awards we have picked up this year, this success really does showcase the hard work of the whole team. We should all be really proud.

As the company looks to the future, this November sees Core to Cloud open its newly refurbished headquarters in the iconic 11th Century Castle in the centre of Cirencester, Glocuestershire creating a vibrant working environment for its team, while also opening up the building for local businesses to use for meetings, conferences and collaborative spaces.

As the firm continues to grow so does its reputation, and short and long term growth plans. The company will be expanding in new sectors and markets, including new offices in mainland Europe.

James Cunningham, CEO and Co-founder at Core to Cloud, said: “Our goal when forming Core to Cloud with my business partner, Mark Liddle, has always been to create a disruptive company which delivers ground-breaking solutions to our customers, and is constantly proactive in bringing fresh solutions to our partners and the market as a whole. We’re excited to see what the next few years will hold for Core to Cloud given the growth we’ve seen over the past year and the investment we’ve made across the whole company.”
