Manchester Tech Festival returns for second year, with backing from founding partners including Moneysupermarket Group, Booking.com and Venturi

Manchester Tech Festival (MTF) is today launching for 2023, announcing the support of its founding partners for a second year running.

MTF, Manchester’s only year-long celebration of the city’s thriving tech community, will stage over 40 events throughout 2023, including a week-long festival in October, and comprises of conferences, workshops, social ‘mixers’ and more.

MTF was established last year, backed by founding partners Moneysupermarket Group, Booking.com, Venturi, Morson and BJSS – all of which have returned to support the festival for its sophomore year. The 2022 festival welcomed over 3,500 delegates to its flagship event and saw MTF’s purpose-driven mission – to address Manchester’s digital poverty and digital inclusion challenges – brought to the fore.

Supporting Manchester’s tech community

Alongside the founding partners, headline sponsors this year include Bruntwood SciTech, JustIT and Oscar, who will receive brand exposure across MTF’s full roster of events.

Track sponsors will also support specific themes throughout the festival including fintech, women in tech, product and tech for good. These include Spike, Naimuri, MAG Technology (Manchester Airport Group), DiSH (Greater Manchester Digital Security Hub), Praetura, Code Computerlove, 6Point6 and Indiespring.

Mikey Smith, CTO at Moneysupermarket Group, said of the partnership: “MoneySuperMarket Group is committed to building and contributing to the Manchester tech community, and we are proud to have renewed our founding partner status for the second year. Manchester Tech Festival has a community ethos and Moneysupermarket Group is passionate about creating a strong tech talent pool and investing in the future of Manchester.”

Brad Lamb, CEO at Venturi, added: “When we think of the Manchester tech scene, we think of community. The Manchester Tech Festival embodies this phrase and is something we are immensely proud to be part of for the second year.”

Amy Newton, Festival Director of MTF, said: “Through our variety of speaking opportunities, panel discussions and exclusive networking events, MTF aims to highlight Manchester’s spectrum of amazing talent, showcasing our innovative tech businesses, and bringing together a truly vibrant community.
