Tech.eu, a leading media platform dedicated to providing news coverage, analysis, and insights into the UK and Europe’s technology sector, has today opened the London Stock Exchange in celebration of its annual Tech.eu Summit, which takes place in London for the first time. The Market Open Ceremony included a speech from Arda Kutsal, Founder and CEO of Webrazzi, the most influential tech media company in Turkiye, who acquired Tech.eu in 2021. Webrazzi Group reaches more than 15 million tech enthusiasts annually and has hosted over 100 events since it was founded 17 years ago. Arda Kutsal was also presented with the glass tablet and signed the welcome book before the end of the ceremony.

Following the open ceremony, the final day of Tech.eu Summit London 2024 commenced at 9 am. The day promises to be a busy one with a variety of panels and presentations addressing important subjects and pressing issues within the European technology sector. Some of the topics will explore the latest trends and insights around deep tech, climate tech, AI, tech and wellness, quantum computing, SaaS, Web3, and more.

The Tech.eu Summit runs from May 16-17, at the Old Billingsgate in London and is expected to welcome over 1,200 participants and 120 speakers including startup founders, venture capital leaders, corporate tech innovators, policymakers, and technology journalists. The first day of the Tech.eu Summit London 2024 featured a talk by the UK Minister for Tech and Digital Economy, Saqib Bhatti, where he highlighted the country’s support for the technology and startup ecosystem. Turkiye’s Minister for Tech and Industry, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, also spoke on the first day of the event outlining his belief that technology and startups have the potential to boost inclusivity and access to education, as well as help solve major societal issues with the creation of innovative solutions. In addition, the two ministers held bilateral meetings during the conference.

Founders also had the opportunity to present their solutions and engage directly with potential investors at the Startup Stage. Furthermore, attendees had the chance to participate in panel discussions at the Roundtable Stage.

The Tech.eu Summit has been running since 2013, and for the previous two years, it has been hosted successfully in Brussels – 2024 is the first year it is being hosted in London. The annual event has continuously brought experts, industry leaders, and startups together for an in-depth look into the technology sector and its latest trends.

The UK Technology Sector was ranked the best in Europe and third in the world at the end of 2022, reaching a combined market value of $1 trillion USD (£793.8 billion GBP). Furthermore, the UK Tech Workforce is expanding with over three million people working within UK tech with global companies training up a new generation of talent. These statistics demonstrate the size and scalability of the technology sector within the UK, and by moving its conference to London, Tech.eu aims to bring a major event uniting the technology ecosystem in the world’s capital of tech.
