Virgin Media O2 helps its TV customers unwind with free access to yoga and meditation classes during stress awareness month

Virgin Media O2 is helping its TV customers take a breather and relax as part of Stress Awareness Month, offering access to a range of calming video classes, at no extra cost, between 8am – 11am every Saturday morning throughout April.

Existing Virgin TV customers can tune in to a variety of wellbeing content including stretching, Pilates, bodyweights, yoga and meditation – so there’s something for everyone.

The classes launch as a YouGov study found three in 10 Brits (31%) say they feel very or fairly stressed even on weekends and when they’re not thinking about work. According to experts, exercise helps to reduce stress, but despite this still nearly one in four (23%) Brits don’t exercise up to 30 minutes per week.

To access the classes, Virgin TV customers can simply head to Channel 100 from 8am until 11am every Saturday morning throughout April, with the classes also available in the ‘Stress Buster’ and ‘Stress Reliever’ collections via On Demand.

Customers can access these collections whenever it suits them on Virgin TV 360 and Stream by heading to Discover, Box Sets or Get Moving, or on TiVo through the Get Moving folder via On Demand and in Catch Up.

The wide range of classes available require minimal to no equipment, making them accessible for all fitness levels, and are led by experts at Nuffield Health, Fiit and Fit at Home. The workouts are available to all Virgin TV customers across TiVo, V6, TV 360 and Stream at no extra cost.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “With the cost-of-living crisis and other everyday stresses impacting people’s lives, it’s never been more important to take a breather. That’s why we’re giving our customers access to a variety of mindful content at no extra cost, so they take time out to de-stress.”
